3 Cheers for the Red, White & Blue!

Happy 4th of July everyone! (And a extra special 4th of July for Kari Evans, soon to be Dewsnup, as this is her favorite holiday!)

We had a nice & relaxing day. We slept in and lounged about for a bit in our pj's, rather than going to the Provo parade. Then Devin's sister Karly came over to pick us up for the family BBQ at his uncle's. While we were at his uncle's we had hamburgers, chips, salad, corn on the cob, and baked beans. And for dessert we had brownies, ice cream, and fresh peaches. Yum! Devin played his first-cousin-once-removed on Wii baseball and beat him. After that, we went home for a bit before heading to my cousin's.

We thought we were going to have another BBQ type thing there, but my cousin had had a not so fun day (she cut her foot and passed out) so we had Chinese food instead. We watched a movie called The Happiest Millionaire and then went over to the DT (Deseret Towers) field to watch the fireworks from the Stadium of Fire that they do at the football stadium. It was fun, not spectacular, but fun.

Oh, and we didn't have school on Friday for the holiday! For a change of scenery, Devin and I went to the Freedom Festival in downtown Provo. It's like a street fair/Carnival with booths selling things, inflatable things for kids, food, and performers. They also had a colonial section with old clothing and such. Devin's sister was working at one of the booths so we went to say hi and look around. We also checked out some new cars that will be coming out from Ford, but sadly did not get to test drive one because I didn't have my purse. Oh well.

Here are some pictures of the fireworks that Devin took!
